Principle 4 - Marketing

The marketing aspect is the fourth principle, but being the fourth does not mean it is less important than the other principles in the build of a successful website. Afterall, if a site cannot be found in the first place, it's not going to be effective.

How are people going to reach your site ?

• search engines on their 'main search results' with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO);
• search engines via pay-per-click advertising;
• people entering your website address directly in a browser;
• email/newsletter campaigns;
• link from another website;
• advertising your URL using traditional marketing mathods;
• banner advertising.
